DSBF Stakes for pacing colts underway Monday

06/29/2015 4:48 PM -

Two $20,000 divisions of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes for 3-year-old pacing colts and geldings highlighted the Monday program at Harrington Raceway.
Mo Coo Inc. and Jonathan Klee Racing's Quick Art ($4, Tony Morgan) took the first division in 1:53.2. Sent off as the even-money favorite from post position seven, the Artzina gelding assumed early command from Smoking Joey and never relented in victory. Byby Landon closed ground late to finish second, narrowly beating Roddy's Hot Again who was third. Trained by Josh Green, Quick Art registered his fifth win of the season, with his previous wins coming on the New York circuit.
The second division featured a showdown of two Delaware heavyweights, Michael White's Son of a Sizzle, who won an Art Rooney Memorial elimination and Sharon Wyatt, Robin West and Ron Benton's Remember Me Vk  , winner of all four of his 2015 starts.
When the dust settled, it was Remember Me Vk prevailing by a length in 1:54 over Son of a Sizzle and Art Season. The Art Director gelding, Remember Me Vk set a modest pace with fractions of 28.1, 58 and 1:26.2. Son Of A Sizzle was unable to make a serious charge in the stretch but held well in second. Remember Me Vk improved to 5-for-5 in 2015 for trainer Bob Wyatt.
Green and Morgan struck again in the $16,000 Open, the overnight feature, as L&J Racing's EZ Noah ($3, Morgan) won his fourth consecutive race in 1:52.2 over Island Lexus and Main A Dieu Too.
Bobby Clark-trained Jingle Bell Rocker ($2.60, Corey Callahan) notched his fifth straight win in a $7,500 claiming event for owner Tina Clark.

Callahan, Allan Davis, Jim Morand, Morgan, Art Stafford Jr. and Jon Roberts each had driving doubles.
