Primo Maschio 6-for-6 As DSBF Action Underway09/23/2024 5:39 PM - Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes action for 2-year-olds kicked off the week of racing at Harrington Raceway Monday as a pair of $20,000 divisions for pacing colts and geldings were contested. Forrest Bartlett's Primo Maschio ($2.10, Trae Porter) improved to 6-for-6 lifetime with a 1:54.4 win for trainer Kevin Lare over Lew Not Lou and Won Last Call. The Badlands Hanover gelding never had an anxious moment in his front end score. Tlb Racing's Shore Not Beach ($2.80, Pat Berry) won the remaining division in 2:01.4. The Badlands Hanover gelding was making his first career start and won on the front end over Badlands Boogie and Strange Brew. In the overnight feature, Andrew Glassmeyer's Sweet Angel Boy ($5, Tony Morgan) was a 1:51.3 winner, after narrowly passing pacesetter Iwannabewithyou in the final strides. Captaincountrystar was third. Sweet Angel Boy won his 9th race of the year for his owner/trainer Glassmeyer and boosted his seasonal earnings to nearly $140,000. A trio of DSBF divisions for pacing fillies will head the Tuesday September 24 program as live racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule (post time 4:30 p.m.) until October 23.
