The first leg of action for the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes for 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings highlighted a 14-race Tuesday program at Harrington Raceway.
Dorothy Ann and Chris Conner's Hail To The Master ($2.60, Art Stafford Jr.) won the first division in 1:56.1 for trainer/co-owner Dorothy Conner. The Rustler Hanover gelding improved to 3-for-4 in his young career with a powerful win from off the pace as the betting favorite.
Winbak Farm's All Artist ($4, George Dennis) captured the second division in 1:56.4. Trained by Jeff Fout, the Roddy's Bags Again gelding notched his second straight win, dismissing his rivals with a strong finishing presence.
The final DSBF split went to Willard Hall and Brian Wright's Sizz Matty ($4.40, George Dennis) who was a pocket-positioned winner in 1:59. Trained by Brian Wright, the Life Sizzles colt earned his third career win in five starts. It was one of three wins on the program for Dennis, who joined Allan Davis with a triple.
Art Stafford Jr. had two wins.
