Regis The Horse earned his second straight victory in front of a national audience at Harrington Raceway Thursday with a 1:56.4 triumph.
Named after TV superstar Regis Philbin, the 2-year-old son of Shadow Play was shown live on Fox Sports 1's "Crowd Goes Wild" for the second straight start and he didn't disappoint. The George Teague-trainee followed Bazillion throughout most of the race before pulling from the pocket approaching the three-quarters and surging by for a two length win in front of Philbin who once again cheered his namesake on along with his on-air cohorts.
"Crowd Goes Wild" is a daily sports discussion program hosted by Philbin, airing Monday through Friday at 5 p.m. EST. The live satellite feed from Harrington Raceway to Fox Sports 1 was provided by Roberts Communications Network, LLC.
