Mid-Del Foundation awards grants to Delaware organizations

On November 10, 2010 at Harrington Casino, representatives from 36 Delaware organizations were awarded financial grants by the Mid-Del Charitable Foundation. The Foundation, developed to consolidate the charitable undertakings of Delaware State Fair, Inc. and Harrington Raceway, Inc., supports Delaware-based organizations and charitable, educational, and scientific endeavors which address the wide range of issues, including: health and human services, the arts, agriculture, education, and the environment.
Howell F. Wallace, President of the Mid-Del Charitable Foundation, along with the presiding officers and directors distributed grants to the following organizations: Biggs Museum of American Art, Center for Therapeutic and Educational Riding, CHEER, Children’s Advocacy Center of Delaware, Clear Space Theatre Company, Delaware 4-H Foundation, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Delaware Ducks Unlimited Green Wing Event, Delaware FFA Foundation, Delaware Guidance Services for Children and Youth, Delaware Hospice, DVFA Foundation, Frederica Senior Center, Greater Dover Committee: Capital Mentoring Program, Greenwood Police Department, Harrington Fire Company, Harrington Lions Club, Harrington Parks and Recreation, Harrington Police Department, Harrington Public Library, Harrington Sunshine 4-H Club, Harvest Years Senior Center, Kent Conservation District, Krysti Bingham Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Mental Health Association in Delaware, Milford Rotary Club, Milford Senior Center, Ministry of Caring, Mom’s House of Dover, National Alliance on Mental Illness in Delaware, Reading Assist Institute, Rehoboth Art League, Ronald McDonald House, Santa’s Workshop/”Bookaneers” Milford School District, Special Olympics Delaware, Vietnam Veterans of America.
