Nordic Venture puts field on ice again, Quillen draw heldAmy and Steward Oldford’s Nordic Venture ($3.60, Vince Copeland) earned his seventh win of the season and second consecutive Wednesday with a 1:56.4 win in the $20,000 Open trot at Harrington Raceway.
Driven by trainer Copeland, the 5-year-old Keystone Nordic gelding set all the fractions and was an easy three length winner over Fivedollarsforsox and Spunky Vic.
Earlier in the day, the post position draw was held for the $354,000 Bobby Quillen Memorial Pace to be held Monday September 20. The field boasts a impressive combined lifetime bankroll in excess of $8 million. Here’s a look at the draw before final driver changes and morning line odds:
