Nola Leager's Slick Tony ($3.60, Montrell Teague) scored his 59th career win Monday at Harrington Raceway in 1:51 in the featured $20,000 Open.
The 7-year-old No Spin Zone stallion, a two-time Harrington horse of the meet, recorded his 3rd win of the meet and 6th of the year.
Sun Of A Show protected rail post position and secured a pocket trip behind leader Penzance Hanover, sent off at 8-to-5, who led through fractions of 27.2 and 55.4 while Slick Tony and Carlisimo headed the outer flow through three-quarters in 1:23.4. Slick Tony edged clear and opened up on the field on the final turn as Penzance Hanover tired. Carlisimo closed for second with Keep On Rocking A third. Slick Tony has banked more than $950,000 in his career.
Teague had a driving triple on the card. Tony Morgan and Art Stafford Jr. each had two wins.
