George and Tina Dennis’ Every Day Dan ($5.80, Mike Cole) was a 1:56.2 winner in the $22,500 Open Trot Wednesday at Harrington Raceway.
The 6-year-old Dover Dan gelding led every call for trainer Joe Columbo while achieving his 5th win of the year. Wily Wally received a pocket trip and finished second while Vlahos was third. Every Day Dan surpassed $100,000 in seasonal earnings with the win, his 21st lifetime.
Brandon Givens, Mike Cole, Art Stafford Jr., Eddie Dennis and Tony Morgan each had driving doubles.
Live racing will go on a summer hiatus before a brief respite on July 23, the Delaware State Fair racing card (special 7 p.m. post time) before the resumption of the live racing meet on August 17.
