Primo Mascio Remains Perfect

10/07/2024 6:32 PM -
Forrest Bartlett's Primo Maschio ($2.10, Trae Porter) improved to 8-for-8 in his young career with a 1:54.1 win in the $110,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders (DSBF) Final for 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings Monday at Harrington Raceway.
The Badlands Hanover gelding went right to the front from post six and never looked back in his wire-to-wire triumph over Shore Not Beach and Lew Not Lou. Trained by Kevin Lare, Primo Maschio has banked nearly $110,000 lifetime.
On the undercard, Andrew Glassmeyer's Sweet Angel Boy ($5, Tony Morgan) was a 1:51.4 winner in the $50,000 Bobby Quillen Memorial. Trained by his owner, the 6-year-old Sweet Lou gelding emerged from the pocket a winner over Mack and Ats Hanover. Sweet Angel Boy also won the $50,000 Governor's Cup earlier in the year at Harrington. Quillen was a popular local legislator who loved harness racing and was on the Board of Directors at Harrington Raceway and the Delaware State Fair.
