George and Tina Dennis’ Every Day Dan ($15.40, Pat Berry) was a 1:57 winner in the featured $18,000 Open Trot Wednesday at Harrington Raceway.
The 5-year-old Dover Dan gelding achieved his 3rd win of the season for trainer Joe Columbo with an off-the pace score over Muscle Dynasty and Rivers. Rivers set the pace while Every Day Dan mounted a second-over attack behind live cover in Muscle Dynasty. Rivers began to yield in the stretch while Every Day Dan fanned three-wide and charged to the wire for the win.
In the $14,500 winners-over trotting sub-feature, Star Razor ($3.40, Corey Callahan) was an easy 1:56.2 winner over Hustlenonomics and Vlahos The 7-year-old Dejarmbro gelding led virtually every call for owners Nick Callahan, Greg Godbout and Yorwollohan Racing Team. Trained by co-owner Nick Callahan, it was his 3rd win of the season.
On the undercard, Ingrid Wolfenden’s Baby Bob ($2.40, Ross Wolfenden) started a new win streak after miscuing en route to a 5th straight win last week, with an impressive 1:56 romp. The 4-year-old Southwind Frank gelding has 5 wins in 6 starts this year for trainer/driver Wolfenden.
Allan Davis had 3 wins on the card.
Wolfenden joined Montrell Teague and Tony Morgan with two driving wins apiece.
