Wager On Me, at 14-to-1, authored the opening quarter mile in 27.1 seconds as the field sped to the half-mile in 55.4 with the outer flow developing as Wehadababyetzaboy applied first-over pressure to three-quarters in 1:24.1. Wager On Me would not be denied in the stretch, fighting off a game Wehadababyetzaboy, who was second, for his 50th career win. Mr. Three O Five received a pocket trip and finished third. Trained by Joe Columbo, the 10-year-old Bettor’s Delight gelding recorded his 6th win of the year and boosted his lifetime earnings to nearly $636,000.
