Branda Teague’s Hundred Dollar Man ($5.20, Montrell Teague) was a 1:51.4 winner in the Harrington Raceway $18,000 Open feature for pacers Monday.
Longshot Effingham (9-1) was sent hard for the lead early from post two and seated Adam Twelve in the pocket towards a spirited opening quarter in 26.4 and half-mile in 56.1. The field reached three-quarters in 1:24.1 with Hundred Dollar Man gaining rapidly with a first-over charge to clear the pacesetter and notch his 3rd win of the year. Effingham held second with Downers Delight third. Trained by Brenda Teague, the 4-year-old Lather Up gelding surpassed $50,000 in seasonal earnings with the victory. It was part of a 4 win night for Teague, the meet’s leading driver.
On the undercard, Bobby Glassmeyer’s Rocknroll Lou ($13.80, Montrell Teague) scored a 1:51.1 win in a $14,500 winners-over event.
Trainer Andrew Stafford, driver Art Stafford Jr. and owner Evm Racing started the card with a double from post 8 as Pirates Code ($3.80) and Dancing Stranger ($4.60) both prevailed to start the program. Stafford Jr. drove 3 winners on the card for his brother.
