Mark Waterman's TP Lucy ($3.80, Tony Morgan) equaled the track record for 3-year-old trotting fillies Sunday at Harrington Raceway in a $20,000 division of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes with a 1:58.1 win.
The Linbo-sired filly improved to 6-for-7 lifetime as she surged by leader JA's Commando at the top of the stretch for an impressive score. 'Lucy' was the fastest divisional winner of the night. Nanticoke Racing and Mark King's Bristy Crinkley ($2.40, Les Givens) overcame an early break to prevail in her division in 2:02. Joann Looney-King's Stashi ($16.80, Jim King Jr.) was an upset wire-to-wire winner in her division.
Meanwhile, on the colts side, Thomas Lail's Special Command ($19, Morgan) and Vicki Givens and Doris Marine's Spent Force ($3, Ross Wolfenden) were victorious.
The DSBF finals will be contested on Governor's Day during the Delaware State Fair July 30.
